The real key to King's political philosophy is national unity. He sees all Canadian politics through the prism of national unity, keeping French and English and English-French and ethnic together. King is, in many ways, a photocopy or a carbon copy of Laurier in that they run the same politics of national unity. Both of them have substantial Québec support and both of them are very interested in finding policies that moderate people can follow.
